Job Description – Manager / Senior Manager, Central Transportation Planning & Logistics

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced logistics qualified to lead a centralized, technology-driven transportation function across multiple locations.

The role will focus on TMS/LMS management, Central Logistics Control Tower, transportation planning, fleet optimization, vendor management, and dashboards to improve visibility, utilization, service levels, and cost efficiency.

TMS & Central Control Tower
Lead adoption and effective utilization of TMS/LMS and logistics technology.
Manage centralized visibility of transportation operations, trips, exceptions, delays, and capacity constraints.
Drive system improvements, automation, data quality, and integration with ERP, GPS, and other platforms.
Coordinate with multiple locations and transport partners to ensure smooth operations.
Establish standardized processes, SLAs, and escalation mechanisms.





Dashboards & Analytics
Develop centralized dashboards and MIS for transportation performance.
Track key KPIs such as transport cost, cost per trip/km, vehicle utilization, fleet productivity, turnaround time, empty running, on-time performance, and vendor performance.
Use data to identify improvement prospects and support management decision-making.
Robust experience in Power BI, Excel, or similar analytics tools is preferred.

Transportation Planning & Optimization
Lead centralized vehicle, route, trip, and capacity planning across multiple locations.
Optimize fleet utilization and reduce idle time, empty runs, underutilization, and avoidable transport costs.
Balance service requirements, capacity availability, and transportation cost.
Proactively identify capacity gaps and plan suitable transportation resources.

Vendor & Fleet Management
Manage transportation vendors and service partner
