Role Description The Baker will be responsible for preparing, baking, and finishing a variety of products such as bread, cookies, and other baked items according to established recipes and quality standards. Daily tasks include measuring and mixing ingredients, operating bakery equipment, monitoring baking times and temperatures, and ensuring products are presented attractively. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe work area, following food safety and hygiene guidelines, and assisting with inventory of ingredients and supplies.
This is a full time, on-site role based in Chennai, requiring close collaboration with the bakery team to meet production schedules and customer demand.
Qualifications
Practical experience in bakery operations, including Bakery and Baking skills.
Proficiency in Food Preparation with a focus on maintaining quality and safety standards.
Hands-on experience making Cookies and similar baked treats.
Ability to produce different types of Bread with consistent results.
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations.
Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain portion control.
Strong time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle repetitive tasks.
Prior bakery or culinary experience preferred; formal training in baking or culinary arts is an advantage.
