Key Responsibilities
Inspect and approve all incoming raw materials, components, and purchased parts as per approved specifications and quality standards.
Conduct final inspection of finished goods before dispatch and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
Carry out in-process quality audits of manufacturing activities and monitor adherence to defined processes and work instructions.
Identify quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as TQM, 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and process improvement.
Maintain and update all quality-related documentation, inspection reports, check sheets, NCRs, CAPA records, and quality records.
Have valuable practical knowledge of measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, dial gauges, thread gauges, and other inspection equipment.
Support New Product Development (NPD) activities, including inspection of samples, dimensional validation, trial approvals, and preparation of quality documentation.
Coordinate and follow up with sub-vendors/suppliers during NPD to ensure timely development and compliance with quality requirements.
Participate in supplier quality improvement and resolve quality issues with vendors.
Maintain proper NPD documentation and inspection records throughout the development process.
Work closely with Production, Purchase, Engineering, and NPD teams to resolve quality-related issues.
Ensure proper implementation of quality standards and customer-specific requirements.
Use the company's ERP system for quality-related entries, inspection records, material status, rejection records, and other relevant transactions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience in manufacturing/engineering industry
Solid knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T;, dimensional inspection, and measuring instruments.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Knowledge of TQM, Kaizen, 5S, CAPA, 8D, and basic quality tools.
Good communication and coordination skills, particularly with suppliers and internal departments.
Computer knowledge is preferred.
Ability to maintain accurate documentation and quality records.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
