Experience / Skills:
- In depth knowledge and extensive experience with embedded firmware development
- Expertise in the use of scripting languages, programming tools and environments
- Extensive experience programming in Python
- Experience in the storage industry in SSD, HDD, storage systems, or a related technology
- Understanding of storage interfaces including ideally PCIe/NVMe, SATA, or SAS
- Experience with NAND flash and other non-volatile storage
- Ability to work independently with a minimum of day-to-day supervision
- Experience with team leadership and/or supervising junior engineers and technicians
- Ability to work in a multi-functional team and under the pressure of multiple priorities

AI Proficiency / AI-Enabled Ways of Working




- Proficient in leveraging Micron-approved GenAI tools (e.g., Claude Code, M365 Copilot, GenieLLM) to accelerate firmware development workflows, including AI-assisted code generation, unit test generation, and code review.
- Experience or working knowledge of applying AI agents/agentic workflows to firmware debugging and root-cause analysis (RCA), improving triage and cycle-time efficiency while maintaining engineer-in-the-loop validation.
- Ability to identify and scope opportunities for AI-driven automation in embedded firmware tasks (e.g., test coverage improvement, memory/code optimization, defect analysis) in line with Micron's AI-Driven Product Development and Productivity & AI Foundations pillars.
- Understanding of and adherence to Micron's AI Governance Policy and Acceptable Use Guidelines for Generative AI, including human-in-the-loop review of AI-generated code, security/IP safeguards, and licensing compliance.
