As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Payments technology team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, reliable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement complex back-end services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot, making informed technical trade-offs to ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Optimize and design advanced database solutions with Oracle, including data modeling, query optimization, and transaction management.
- Integrate and manage messaging systems such as MQ and Kafka for robust, fault-tolerant data flow across distributed systems.




- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering best practices in coding, design, and system architecture.
- Drive code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for large-scale, high-throughput payment systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions aligned with business goals.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and tools to continuously improve our platform.
- Comply with security, regulatory, and operational standards throughout the software lifecycle.
- Drives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring, test strategy acceleration, incident/root-cause analysis support), while establishing consistent validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of
