About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Sourcing / Vendor Development professional with strong expertise in the Fasteners category, particularly Screws, to drive end-to-end sourcing, supplier development and commercial activities.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Fasteners sourcing from an Automotive or Consumer Durables manufacturing environment.

Important: Candidates currently/previously working with Fasteners manufacturing companies are NOT eligible. The candidate must have experience sourcing Fasteners as a procurement/vendor-development professional from the user industry, preferably Automotive or Consumer Durables.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fasteners Sourcing & Category Management

Manage sourcing and procurement of Fasteners, especially Screws, for manufacturing requirements.

Develop and execute sourcing strategies to achieve optimum Cost, Quality and Delivery (QCD).

Identify alternate sources and drive localization/alternate vendor development.

Understand technical specifications, drawings, grades, sizes, coatings and application requirements of fasteners.

2. Vendor Development

Identify, evaluate and develop recent suppliers for fasteners.

Conduct supplier capability assessments and coordinate supplier audits.

Evaluate vendors based on quality, cost, capacity, technology and delivery capability.

Develop new vendors to support NPD, localization and capacity requirements.

Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing suppliers.

3. Costing & Commercial Negotiation

Handle RFQ/RFP, quotation analysis and techno-commercial evaluation.

Perform cost benchmarking and should-cost/cost-break-up analysis.

Negotiate price, MOQ, payment terms, lead time and commercial agreements.
