Job Description: Service & Aftermarket – Mining Segment (Slurry Pumps)
Position Overview
The role is responsible for providing end‑to‑end technical service support and driving service and aftermarket business growth for KSB GIW slurry pump products across key mining customers in the assigned region. The position combines hands‑on field service, customer relationship management, and revenue ownership for recent equipment, spares, and services.
Key Responsibilities
Field Service & Technical Support
- Visit key mining customer sites within the allocated region to provide:
- Installation support, start‑up, and commissioning supervision
- Troubleshooting, breakdown support, overhauling, and rectification
- Modifications and performance improvement solutions
- Support customers during erection and commissioning phases to ensure reliable and safe operation of slurry pumps.
- Collect and analyze application‑ and operation‑related slurry pump data to identify critical issues and improvement opportunities.
- Understand customer pain points and propose effective technical, replacement, and aftermarket service solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
Installed Base Management & Business Development
- Preserve and monitor the installed base through regular customer site visits.
- Identify opportunities for pump replacement, upgrades, and expansion to increase product footprint.
- Groom aftermarket business by promoting service offerings, spares, and refurbishment solutions.
- Identify service needs at customer sites and proactively promote service contracts and maintenance solutions.
Sales, Revenue & Performance Management
- Own and drive revenue targets for:
- New equipment sales
- Aftermarket spares
- Services and service contracts
