Job Description:
Background: The ‘Internal Flow & Data Analytics’ team under the Structures department and plays a key role providing solutions through competencies in the area of Thermal, Aerodynamics, and Internal Flow analysis. The Job Holder will act as a Fluid/Hydromechanical Engineer for aero-thermal perimeters with the task to perform numerical simulations (both 1D and 3D) to ensure the certification and performance of aircraft systems in ATA 26/ ATA 21 perimeter.
Based on the requirement, the job holder should be able to provide aero-thermal results to support aircraft certification. The job holder will also be responsible for the modelling of thermal management systems, heat dissipation, and related methods & tools.
Role: Support all Aero Thermal Engineering activities.
Key Words: Design tools (CATIA), Coding Language (Python and Java), System understanding , 0D/1D Modelling (Amesim), 3D CFD Modeling (Star-CCM+, FLUENT)
Technical Skills
As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and competencies:
Essential skills
Strong experience of Thermal simulation.
Understanding of aero-thermal environments and systems affecting the temperature of aircraft components.
Profound Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer, Aerodynamics, and Cooling Systems understanding.
Knowledge in numerical modelling, 1D analysis (Amesim) and CFD (Star CCM+, FLUENT) methods and tools.
Knowledge in coding of numerical methods to solve heat transfer and fluid flow problems.
Ability to learn current tools and processes to ensure the project deliveries.
Ability to build the understanding of thermal management systems of various aircrafts to build Amesim models is essential.
Ability to work in collaboration with a team to ensure the quality of the deliverable is must, as the project deliveries may directly contribute towards the certification of the aircraft.
Desired skills
Knowledge of Python and JAVA would also be beneficial.
