Sr. Oracle Database Administrator

KBR is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our Global Database team and ensure the performance, reliability, and security of enterprise database environments supporting critical business operations. In this role, you will manage, maintain, and optimize Oracle Server databases, oversee database backup and recovery processes, and support the development and implementation of database standards across the organization. You will collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to troubleshoot issues, improve system performance, and ensure compliance with IT governance and data management policies.
This position requires participation in an on-call rotation and occasional work outside normal business hours to support global operations.
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Administer, maintain, and optimize Oracle Database environments across Windows and Linux platforms to ensure system stability, availability, and performance
Perform installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades of Oracle Server instances, ensuring alignment with enterprise infrastructure standards
Implement and manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions to support business continuity
Monitor database performance and system health, proactively identifying and resolving issues related to capacity, performance, and reliability
Manage database security, including user access controls, encryption, and audit compliance in accordance with corporate IT policies
Support the design, deployment, and maintenance of Orac
