Job Description

Develop and teach laboratories or experiments for modules in the area of Workshop Practice, Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering, Electric Circuit Analysis I and or II, Electrical Machines I and or II, Power Systems I and or II, Control Engineering, Power Systems Protection, Renewable Energy Technologies, Industrial Automation and or High Voltage Engineering.
Supervise and conduct industrial visits with students.
Repair and maintain electrical laboratory equipment.
Assist in supervision of undergraduate design and research projects.
Carrying out a broad band of routine tasks in collaboration with members of staff within the specific discipline and any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements





Should be in possession of a relevant Bachelor’s degree with a level of attainment equivalent to an Upper Second (i.e B grade average) or Higher. Industrial work experience and registration with a professional body would be an added advantage.
Under exceptional circumstances, Lower Second degree holders (i.e., applicants with a B grade average) may also be appointed, if their scores in the subject of intended specialisation are adequate and meritorious.
Positive communication skills.
Should be able to conduct laboratory experiments in the field of Electrical Engineering.
Assist in Student supervision of design and research projects at both under- and post- graduate levels.
