Job Description
The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, and participate in curriculum review and development. The incumbent will be required to secure external research funding, publish in reputable national and international journals, build and strengthen a sustainable research base within the department, and engage in community outreach and stakeholder partnerships as may be required. The candidate will also perform any other duties as may be required.
Requirements
The candidate should possess a PhD in Oceanography (Physical, Biological or Chemical),
or Marine Science (Biogeochemistry) plus a minimum of three (3) years experience as a Lecturer. The candidate must demonstrate expertise in marine and oceanographic processes, including physical and chemical oceanography, marine biogeochemistry, and ocean monitoring techniques. Evidence of university-level teaching experience and a solid research publication record in internationally recognized, peer-reviewed journals indexed in major international databases such as Scopus is required.
