Role Description The Video Editor role at Janhit Darpan is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Patna Area. The Video Editor will work closely with reporters, producers, and the digital team to edit short-form and long-form news videos, ground reports, and public-interest stories for various digital platforms.



Daily responsibilities include assembling raw footage, selecting impactful visuals and sound bites, performing color grading, adding motion graphics and titles, and ensuring that each video aligns with editorial and brand guidelines. The role involves collaborating on storyboarding, refining visual narratives for social media and web channels, and optimizing videos for audience engagement. The Video Editor is expected to manage multiple projects, meet publishing deadlines, and maintain high technical and editorial standards.
Qualifications

Strong skills in video post-production, including Video Editing and Video Production for digital news content.
Proficiency in Video Color Grading to maintain visual consistency and enhance storytelling.
Ability to create and integrate Motion Graphics and Graphics to support news packages and explainers.
Experience with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Re
