We are seeking a Junior Data Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using Snowflake and Python. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ETL/ELT development and is comfortable working independently on well-defined tasks.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Design and develop data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data into Snowflake
Write efficient SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for data transformation
Develop Python scripts for data extraction, automation, and integration with APIs/files
Work with Snowflake features — Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, external stages, and file formats
Implement data validation and reconciliation checks to ensure data accuracy
Monitor and troubleshoot scheduled jobs and pipeline failures
Optimize SQL queries for performance and cost efficiency
Collaborate with senior engineers to implement data models (star schema, snowflake schema)
Write and maintain unit tests for ETL scripts
Contribute to technical documentation and data lineage tracking
Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards
Use Git for version control and support basic CI/CD pipeline activities
Required Skills:
2–4 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake and Python
Solid SQL skills (joins, window functions, CTEs, performance tuning basics)
Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt) preferred
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
Exposure to version control (Git) and CI/CD practices
