Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, architecture, and optimization of enterprise-scale data platforms on Snowflake. This role requires deep technical expertise, robust leadership skills, and the ability to drive best practices across engineering teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Architect end-to-end data platforms on Snowflake, including database design, warehouse strategy, and cost governance
Design and implement complex ELT/ETL pipelines using Python, Snowpark, and orchestration frameworks (Airflow, dbt)
Define and enforce data modeling standards (Star Schema, Data Vault, dimensional modeling)
Lead performance tuning initiatives — clustering strategies, query optimization, micro-partition management
Design and implement data security frameworks — RBAC, row-level security, dynamic data masking, network policies
Establish CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment of data workflows
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; conduct design/code reviews and enforce engineering best practices
Partner with architects,



product managers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
Evaluate and adopt new Snowflake capabilities (Snowpark, Dynamic Tables, Cortex, Streams/Tasks) to modernize the platform
Own incident management, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery planning
Drive cost optimization initiatives — monitor credit consumption, right-size warehouses, implement resource monitors
Provide technical leadership across multiple projects and cross-functional teams

Required Skills:
7–10 years of experience in data engineering, with 4+ years in Snowflake
Expert-level SQL and Python skills
Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and cost optimization
Strong experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt) and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with data governance, security frameworks, and compliance requirements
Proven leadership/mentoring experienc
