The role
Our client is hiring its first dedicated Motion Designer. You will own product marketing video end to end - launch films, feature demos, teasers, and social cuts. There is no motion language in place yet. You set the register and you ship it, at startup pace, working directly with the founding team.
What you will do
- Concept, animate, and deliver launch films and feature demos for a rapid-shipping AI product
- Recreate product interfaces as polished motion - typing, cursor choreography, menus, button interactions with clean easing
- Set the kinetic typography that carries the product's voice across films and social cuts
- Build 3D brand elements - glass and chrome forms under soft studio light - or bridge them with modern tools
- Add sound design synced to motion beats
- Turn raw ideas from founders and growth into shipped film on short timelines
What we are looking for
- 4+ years in motion design for tech products, SaaS promos, or premium brand work
- A showreel containing real product UI motion and kinetic typography. The reel is the first thing we review.
- Applications without a working reel link are not reviewed.
- You build frames rather than only cut footage. Video editors with motion graphics as a side skill will not clear the screen.
- Command of timing and easing - graph editor craft, not default motion
- 3D ability in Blender or Cinema 4D is a strong plus, not a requirement
- Comfort working in a dark, premium visual register - the Linear, Apple, Raycast family
