The Head of Department (HOD) – Computer Science is a senior academic leadership role responsible for driving the overall academic excellence, strategic direction, and operational management of the Computer Science Department. The incumbent will lead the faculty team, oversee curriculum development, promote research initiatives, ensure high-quality teaching standards, and drive continuous academic improvement. The role also involves supporting the development and delivery of NextGen, industry-aligned academic programs. The ideal candidate should be an experienced academician with strong leadership, faculty management, communication, and academic administration skills, along with a strong understanding of current Computer Science
technologies and industry trends.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Academic Leadership & Teaching Excellence




Provide strategic direction for academic delivery across undergraduate and postgraduate Computer Science programs.
Ensure high-quality teaching standards, innovative teaching methodologies, and outcome-based learning.
Mentor and guide faculty members to enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement.
Monitor academic performance and ensure timely completion of academic plans, courses, and assessments.
Foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
2. Faculty Management & Development
Lead faculty recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and performance management.
Conduct regular faculty reviews and provide constructive feedback for career development.
Identify training and development requirements for faculty members.
Ensure effective faculty utilization and workload management.
Build a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing academic team.
