Job Description – Manual Tester - UPI
Experience: 2–6 Years

Key Responsibilities
Perform end-to-end manual testing of banking and payment applications.
Prepare test scenarios, test cases, test data, and execute functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
Validate UPI transaction flows including payment initiation, success/failure, refunds, reversals, and transaction status.
Perform API testing using tools such as Postman and validate request/response, status codes, headers, and payloads.
Write and execute SQL queries for backend/database validation.
Perform basic application/log validation using Linux/Unix commands.
Identify, document, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, and release validation.
Coordinate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders for defect resolution.
Required Skills
Strong experience in Manual Testing.
Hands-on experience in API Testing – Postman.




Good understanding of UPI payment flows and transaction lifecycle.
Robust knowledge of SQL/database validation.
Good working knowledge of Linux/Unix commands and log analysis.
Experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, System, and Sanity Testing.
Good understanding of STLC, SDLC, defect life cycle, and test case design.
Banking, FinTech, or Payments domain experience is preferred.
Good to Have
Experience with UPI/NPCI payment systems.
Knowledge of NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, or other payment systems.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Exposure to Jira or similar defect management tools.

Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
