You should be comfortable using SEO and analytics platforms such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Semrush, Screaming Frog, or equivalent tools. Experience may be demonstrated through skilled work, freelance projects, agency experience, or a portfolio of measurable SEO outcomes.
Core Requirements
Strong understanding of keyword research, search intent, topical relevance, SERP analysis, and content prioritization.
Proven ability to identify competitor keyword gaps, content gaps, backlink opportunities, entity gaps, and underserved search topics.
Experience developing SEO content briefs and optimizing articles for both users and search engines.
Demonstrated ability to build high-quality mentions, backlinks, reviews, partnerships, and referral traffic through ethical outreach and relationship building.




Practical understanding of answer engine optimization, including featured snippets, People Also Ask results, voice search, direct answers, and question-based search behavior.
Working knowledge of generative engine optimization principles and AI-powered search visibility.
Ability to optimize content for clear, accurate, concise, and contextually complete answers.
Experience structuring content with question-and-answer formats, summaries, FAQs, definitions, comparisons, lists, and other answer-friendly layouts.
Understanding of entity optimization, topical authority, author expertise, brand mentions, citations, reviews, and third-party validation.
Familiarity with structured data and schema opportunities that support content understanding and search presentation.
Ability to monitor brand and competitor visibility across traditional search engines and emerging AI answer platforms.
