Applications are invited for appointment as Assistant Lecturer in the Division of Community Medicine and Public Health Practice, School of Public Health (Ref.: 537038), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in public/global health or a related discipline, such as Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or MBBS and specialist qualification in Public Health Medicine or equivalent. They should have at least 2 years of relevant experience in teaching, training, coaching or career development. Preference will be given to those with relevant knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas: non-profit management,
social services management, organizational development, and social or public administration. They should have excellent communication and mentoring skills. They should be highly conversant with contemporary issues about health sciences and global health, and preferably have experience in case-based and problem-based teaching pedagogy. They should also be able to work in an interdisciplinary and multicultural environment.
The appointee will join a multidisciplinary team delivering a capacity-building programme for non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in Hong Kong. The appointee will contribute to the planning, development and delivery of training courses and coaching activities for NGO management, professionals and frontline staff and volunteers.
