We are hiring for one of our esteemed clients, a leading player in the steel manufacturing industry, seeking an experienced Unit Head / Plant Head to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations for its Stainless Steel Pipes & Tubes business.

About the Role

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in both Seamless and Welded Stainless Steel Pipes & Tubes manufacturing and possess strong leadership capabilities to drive operational excellence, productivity, quality, safety, and profitability.

Responsibilities

Lead complete plant operations, including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Supply Chain, and EHS.
Drive manufacturing excellence for Seamless and Welded Stainless Steel Pipes & Tubes.
Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and production capacity.
Manage production planning and delivery schedules to meet customer commitments.
Ensure adherence to quality standards, customer specifications, and industry regulations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce manufacturing costs, and minimize wastage.




Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment availability.
Ensure compliance with all statutory, environmental, and safety requirements.
Manage plant budgets, operational costs, inventory, and overall profitability.
Build, mentor, and lead high-performing cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering.
15+ years of experience in the Stainless Steel Pipes & Tubes industry.
Mandatory experience in both Seamless and Welded pipe manufacturing.
Solid exposure to manufacturing using Stainless Steel and/or Carbon Steel as raw materials.
Proven experience in leading an entire manufacturing unit or large-scale production facility.
Strong understanding of production planning, quality systems, maintenance, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, and operational excellence.
