Role Overview (Position Summary)

Responsible for leading Medical Affairs (MA) team of functional experts in the therapy Area (TA) of ‘Respiratory & Critical care’ focused on value creation thorough understanding of changing environment, external stakeholders as well as organizational /business needs. To provide strategic, scientific leadership to MA team by overseeing MA activities / deliverables for the assigned TA and working as business enabling team in a compliant way. The Medical Affairs Lead inspires MA team of assigned TA to excel by aligning to the vision of MA and engaging them to consistently commit to a standard of excellence and the achievement of superior results. He/she promotes a culture of compliance, innovation, agility, teamwork and accountability.

Overall, Job Responsibilities

Provides scientific leadership and direction for the key MA activities (including launch excellence, medical education programs) based on scientific validity, clinical need and aligned to both the Core Medical Plans and business needs




Identifies/anticipates clinical needs and provides leadership in the timely development of medical / scientific communications which advances understanding of Glenmark’s products and promotes product strategy.
Leverages medical / scientific expertise to support evaluation of new products (including licensing and acquisition), therapy landscaping
Provides medical / scientific expertise to commercial team including target product profile, disease state management knowledge, planning for post-marketing initiatives, and expanded access programs (if applicable).
Develops integrated real world evidence generation plan including Post marketing safety & effectiveness studies, Registry, Drug utilization study etc. for marketed products. Evaluates investigator-initiated trials (IITs), based on scientific validity, clinical importance, and congruence with the strategic plan
