Role Description The Medical Coder is a full time, on-site role based in New Delhi, responsible for accurately assigning medical codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services using established coding guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing clinical documentation, applying appropriate coding rules, and ensuring compliance with payer and regulatory requirements. The Medical Coder will work closely with billing and AR teams to support claims submission,



resolve denials, and minimize revenue leakage. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding standards and participating in ongoing quality assurance and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications

Coding proficiency with strong Medical Coding and Coding Experience in healthcare settings.
Knowledge of Health Information Management practices and Medical Terminology relevant to clinical documentation.
Professional credentials such as RHIT or equivalent certification in health information or coding (preferred).
Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to interpret clinical notes for correct code assignment.
Familiarity with major coding systems (e.g., ICD, CPT, HCPCS) and payer-specific guidelines.
Ability to collaborate with billing, AR, and clinical teams to address coding-related issues and denials.
Proficiency with medical billing/coding software and basic computer
