Job Summary

The purpose of the role is to work on the UK Audit and Corporate Governance (ACG) reforms programme to support the remediation lead with the agreement, prioritisation and delivery of remediation activities to close identified control gaps. This will involve working with teams in the line to document and embed management review controls (MRCs), EUC controls and supporting complex processes that require remediation activity.

Key Responsibilities

Specific activities include:

Supporting key business stakeholders across the bank but initially with a Finance focus )followed by CCIB and CPBB) to manage and deliver the remediation book of work resulting from process and controls mapping workstream activities
Work closely with KPMG (our internal advisors), project team members and business stakeholders to agree control gaps and actions to remediate
Support line teams with documenting management review control templates and evidencing of EUC controls




Work with line teams to embed documented controls within DOIs and then embed this in the underlying BAU process prior to the testing of controls
Prepare inputs for the remediation workstream to project steering committee meetings and other relevant governance forums and provide strategic direction to stakeholders
Where specific subject matter expertise is required, bring together and facilitate the optimal outcome for the Group and communicate it in a transparent and compelling way to key stakeholders

Strategy

Support the delivery of the remediation UK ACG workstream working with the remediation delivery lead – take ownership of control gaps identified by KPMG (bank’s advisors) and work with line teams to close the controls gaps.
