- What you will do:
- Manage team(s) that develop, implement, and maintain highly complex proprietary and/or purchased software systems in support of the wealth management and retirement solutions businesses
- Manage systems performance and quality assurance testing policies and procedures
- Assign teams and individual staff to projects of varying scope.
Assist business leaders and business systems analysts with an Agile process of prioritizing and structuring work so that teams deliver business value in frequent and regular increments
- Mentor and coach engineering associates within the organization, providing guidance and growth opportunities
- Establish and maintain procedures and best practices by which subordinates operate. Bear responsibility for team performance and overall success of assigned projects
- Work with associated line of business leaders to maintain and support systems
- Ensure owned systems are functioning optimally and meeting business leaders changing needs
- Ensure the assigned team's work and responsibilities are fulfilled in accordance with procedures and quality standards
- Make recommendations affecting staff (compensation, performance appraisals, development plans, work schedules, discipline and hiring)
- Define and implement continuous improvement processes to elevate organizational capabilities
