Job Summary

The Accountant is responsible for managing all accounting and financial activities of the logistics company, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, timely billing, vendor payments, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The role requires close coordination with operations, billing, and management teams.

Key Responsibilities1. Accounts & Bookkeeping
- Maintain daily accounting entries in Tally/ERP.
- Record all receipts, payments, journal vouchers, and bank transactions.
- Maintain cash book, ledger, and general accounts.
- Perform bank reconciliation on a regular basis.

2. Billing & Invoicing
- Prepare customer invoices as per agreed rates.
- Verify PODs, LR/GR, trip sheets, and delivery records before billing.
- Generate monthly invoices and customer statements.
- Follow up for outstanding payments.

3. Vendor & Transporter Payments




- Verify transporter bills and trip expenses.
- Process vendor and driver payments.
- Maintain records of advances and settlements.
- Reconcile vendor accounts regularly.

4. GST & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare and file GST returns.
- Reconcile GST data with books.
- Maintain TDS records and compliance.
- Assist in audits and statutory documentation.

5. Financial Reporting
- Prepare daily cash flow reports.
- Generate weekly and monthly MIS reports.
- Monitor receivables and payables.
- Support preparation of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.

6. Logistics Accounting
- Verify freight charges and transportation expenses.
- Monitor diesel, toll, and vehicle maintenance expenses.
- Maintain trip-wise profitability reports.
- Track route-wise revenue and costs.

7. Payroll & Employee Accounts
- Process salary and reimbursement payments.
- Maintain employee advances and recoveries.
- Handle PF, ESIC, and statutory ded
