Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize forging process designs for new and existing components.
- Prepare forging process plans, die layouts, and manufacturing drawings.
- Design and validate forging dies and tooling.
- Conduct process simulations and feasibility studies to improve productivity and quality.
- Coordinate with Production, Tool Room, Quality, and Design teams for process implementation.
- Analyze forging defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure adherence to customer specifications and quality standards.
- Support current product development and process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in forging process design.
- Good knowledge of forging die design, material flow, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in hot forging processes.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and control plans.
- Familiarity with forging simulation software will be an added advantage.
