About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Understand functional and non-functional requirements and translate them into detailed, traceable test cases.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

Perform API testing using Postman and RestAssured; validate request/response contracts and data integrity.

Execute regression, smoke, and integration test cycles and report results clearly.

Carry out database validation using SQL queries to verify data correctness end-to-end.

Work within a GNU/Linux environment for test execution, log inspection, and server-side validation.

Log, reproduce, and track defects in JIRA or Azure DevOps; work with developers to drive resolution.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI).

Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Maintain test documentation — test plans, traceability matrices, and test summary reports.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering,



or a related field.

3-4 years of experience in software testing and QA.

Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Proven experience in test automation with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or a comparable framework.

Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman and/or RestAssured.

Comfortable working in a GNU/Linux setting — basic CLI usage, log reading, and file operations.

Good knowledge of SQL and relational database validation.

Experience using JIRA or Azure DevOps for defect and test management.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Behave) is an advantage.

Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.

Basic understanding of Docker or containerised test environments.

ISTQB Foundation Level certification is a plus.
