Job description:
Business Development
- Identify and acquire new customers for cargo transportation services.
- Generate leads through field visits, cold calling, references, and networking.
- Develop business from manufacturers, traders, distributors, dealers, retailers, transporters, e-commerce companies, and corporate clients.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Sales & Customer Relationship
- Meet prospective customers and understand their cargo transportation requirements.
- Present company services and provide suitable logistics solutions.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and close sales.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Market Development
- Conduct regular market surveys to identify current business opportunities.
- Monitor competitor pricing, services, and market trends.
- Recommend strategies to improve market share.

Coordination & Operations
- Coordinate with the Operations Team for smooth cargo booking, dispatch, and delivery.




- Follow up on shipment status and resolve customer concerns promptly.
- Ensure timely documentation and customer communication.

Reporting
- Maintain daily sales reports, visit reports, and lead pipeline.
- Update CRM or sales records regularly.
- Submit weekly and monthly sales performance reports to the Sales Manager.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Monthly sales revenue achievement.
- Number of new customers acquired.
- Customer retention rate.
- Daily customer visits.
- Lead conversion ratio.
- Collection of outstanding payments.
- Customer satisfaction level.

Educational Qualification
- Diploma or Certification in Sales/Marketing/Logistics will be an added advantage.

Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in Direct Sales, Logistics, Cargo, Commercial Vehicles, Automobile, Transportation, or B2B Sales.
- Freshers with excellent communication and strong sales aptitude may also apply.
