Job Summary

The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting the temporary electrical distribution system required for project execution. The role includes drawing power from the client's designated source, installing distribution boards, providing temporary lighting and power connections, carrying out preventive maintenance, and ensuring all electrical works are executed safely and in accordance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive power from the client's designated electrical supply point.
- Install and maintain the Main Distribution Board (MDB) and Sub Distribution Boards (SDBs) as directed.
- Carry out cable laying, termination, and temporary electrical wiring.
- Provide temporary power connections for welding machines, cutting machines, power tools, pumps, and other site equipment.
- Install and maintain temporary lighting for work areas, offices, stores, fabrication yards, labour accommodation, and welfare facilities.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical panels, cables, sockets, plugs,



and lighting systems.
- Attend electrical breakdowns and rectify faults promptly.
- Ensure proper earthing, cable routing, and protection of temporary electrical installations.
- Follow electrical safety procedures and use appropriate PPE at all times.
- Maintain housekeeping around electrical installations.
- Report defects, unsafe conditions, or equipment failures to the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
- Maintain daily records of electrical works, maintenance activities, and material usage.
- Support testing and commissioning activities related to temporary electrical systems.

Qualification
- ITI - Electrician (mandatory) or Diploma - Electrician
- B Class Electrical Competency Certificate will be an added advantage.

Experience
- 3-4 years of experience in industrial, construction, EPC, or MEP projects.
- Experience in temporary power distribution and site electrical maintenance is preferred.
