Position: Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) - Social Science
Reports To: Principal / Head of Department

Job Summary

The TGT Social Science Teacher is responsible for teaching Social Science to students of Classes IX to X in accordance with the CBSE curriculum. The teacher will create an engaging learning environment, promote critical thinking, and help students develop a strong understanding of History, Geography, Political Science (Civics), and Economics.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective, student-centered lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects, and assessments.
- Use innovative teaching methodologies, ICT tools, maps, charts, and multimedia resources to enhance learning.
- Assess student performance through tests, assignments, projects, and periodic examinations.
- Provide remedial support and enrichment activities based on students' learning needs.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive,



inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, career development programmes, school events, and co-curricular activities.
- Prepare students for CBSE examinations and competency-based assessments.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, or a related Social Science discipline.
- B.Ed. from a recognized institution (mandatory).
- Proficiency in English communication and classroom management.
- Knowledge of CBSE curriculum, NEP 2020, and competency-based education is desirable.

Experience
- 1-3 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school preferred.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
