Logistics Health Safety and Sustainability Engineer
We are looking for an experienced HSE&S; Engineer to lead and enhance Health, Safety, Workplace & Sustainability programs across our U.S. cross-dock operations. This role is primarily based in Ogden, UT, with support for sites in Indiana and Mississippi.
As a key partner to operations, leadership, and logistics providers, you will drive risk reduction, compliance, and a strong safety culture across multiple locations..
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Lead HSE&S; program implementation across multi-site warehouse operations
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards
- Support and lead incident investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Drive hazard identification, near-miss reporting, and proactive safety initiatives
- Oversee contractor safety performance and enforce site safety requirements
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives (energy, waste, emissions, water)
- Track, analyze,
and report HSE&S; KPIs and trends
- Support ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 audits and regulatory inspections
- Lead emergency preparedness programs, drills, and response coordination
- Coach and influence leaders and employees to strengthen safety culture and behaviors
- Manage and follow up on workers’ compensation claims
- Partner with operations to ensure alignment with HSE&S; logistics standards
What is required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field)
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and compliance standards
- Experience with ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 systems and audits
- Proven background in risk management, incident investigation, and operational safety
- Experience in logistics, warehousing, or industrial environments- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work across multi-site, cross-functional, and remote teams
