Job Description - Utility Operator (Third Party Payroll)

Position: Utility Operator

Role Overview

The Utility Operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining utility systems at OPaL Dahej site. The role involves ensuring uninterrupted supply of utilities such as steam, water, compressed air, cooling systems, and other essential services to support plant operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Utility operation: Operate boilers, compressors, cooling towers, water treatment plants, and other utility equipment.
- Monitoring systems: Record operational parameters, maintain log sheets, and report abnormalities.
- Preventive maintenance: Assist in routine checks, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting.
- Safety compliance: Follow plant safety protocols, PPE usage, and emergency procedures.
- Coordination: Work closely with plant engineers and maintenance teams to ensure smooth utility supply.




- Documentation: Maintain records of daily operations, breakdowns, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
- 4-5 years of experience in utility operations (boilers, compressors, cooling towers, WTP/ETP preferred).
- Knowledge of safety standards and statutory compliance under Factory Act.

Skills Required:
- Strong technical knowledge of utility systems.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Valuable communication and teamwork skills.
- Awareness of labour law compliance.
