Role overview

We are seeking an creative, forward-thinking IT/AI Teacher to design and deliver a cutting-edge curriculum that prepares students for a rapidly evolving digital landscape. In this role, you will go beyond teaching standard computer literacy; you will inspire students to understand, build, and ethically utilize Artificial Intelligence and machine learning.

Because this is a residential position, you will play an active role in our student community by undertaking hostel duties. This includes conducting evening prep classes, mentoring students during study hours, and ensuring a safe, supportive living-learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Curriculum Development & Instruction (Academic)
- Design & Deliver Lessons: Teach foundational IT concepts alongside core AI principles (machine learning, data science, and neural networks).
- Hands-on Coding: Lead practical coding labs in languages relevant to modern tech (e.g., Python, SQL).
- Integrate Generative AI: Teach students how to effectively and responsibly use modern AI tools (prompt engineering,



AI-assisted coding).

2. Hostel & Residential Duties (Pastoral)
- Conduct Evening Study Classes: Lead and supervise mandatory evening study sessions ("prep classes") within the hostel, assisting students with IT/AI projects, coding troubleshooting, and general academic support.
- Pastoral Care & Supervision: Maintain the safety, discipline, and well-being of residential students during assigned hostel shifts (including rotation on weekends).
- Community Mentorship: Act as a mentor and advisor to boarders, fostering a positive, structured, and collaborative living environment.

3. Student Mentorship & Ethics
- Foster Critical Thinking: Facilitate deep-dives into the ethics of AI, discussing topics like data privacy and algorithmic bias.
