Charge Entry Executive U.S. Medical Billing (US Healthcare) | Chennai

Job Description

We are hiring Charge Entry Executives for our US Healthcare Medical Billing (RCM) process in Chennai. The role involves accurate entry of patient demographics and eligibility verification into the billing system as per client-specific guidelines, with strict adherence to quality and turnaround time.

Candidates with 1-5 years of hands-on charge entry / demo entry/ Eligibility Verification experience in US medical billing are preferred. Immediate joiners will be given priority.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Enter patient demographic details and charge information into the billing software accurately and eligibility verification within TAT
- Post charges from superbills, encounter forms, and scanned documents received from providers
- Verify CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes and modifiers against source documents before posting
- Validate insurance details, provider details, place of service, and referring physician information




- Identify and report missing or incorrect information to the concerned team/client for clarification
- Work on charge rejections, correct errors, and re-submit as per client protocol
- Maintain a minimum accuracy of 98% and meet daily production targets
- Ensure complete adherence to HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality norms
- Prepare and share daily production/status reports with the Team Lead
- Coordinate with AR, coding, and payment posting teams to resolve billing discrepancies

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 15 years in Charge Entry / Demo Entry / Eligibility Verification in US Medical Billing (Freshers not eligible)
- Education: Any Graduate
- Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes and modifiers
- Understanding of the US Healthcare RCM cycle and insurance terminology
- Experience with billing software such as eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, Kareo, AdvancedMD, NextGen
