Job Summary
We are looking for a Data Developer with strong SQL expertise to support AI-powered analytics solutions built on Databricks Genie. The role involves understanding business requirements, analyzing data models, validating business logic, optimizing SQL queries, and ensuring accurate, reliable insights for business users. The ideal candidate should be proactive, analytical, and capable of working closely with business SMEs and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, analyze, and optimize SQL queries to support Databricks Genie use cases.
- Understand business requirements, data models, and business definitions to ensure accurate AI-driven insights.
- Analyze fact and dimension tables, identify data discrepancies, and perform root cause analysis.
- Validate business logic and data consistency by comparing outputs with Power BI reports and backend data sources.
- Investigate discrepancies in AI-generated insights and perform root cause analysis using SQL and enterprise data models.
- Implement SQL-level fixes where applicable and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve complex data or logic issues.
- Document business rules, findings, and recommendations to continuously improve the accuracy and reliability of Genie Rooms.
Required Skills
- 3-5 years of hands-on-experience in SQL, Data Analysis, BI or Data Engineering.
- Solid expertise in SQL, including complex joins, CTEs (Common Table Expressions), window functions, subqueries, aggregations, and query optimization.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, data modelling, fact and dimension tables.
- Knowledge of data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis.
- Ability to understand business rules and translate them into SQL-based solutions.
