We are looking for a Junior Planning Engineer who is enthusiastic to build a career in project planning and construction management. The candidate will support the planning team in preparing schedules, tracking project progress, maintaining reports, and coordinating with site teams to ensure timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing project schedules and activity plans.
- Support the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
- Collect project progress updates from site engineers and project teams.
- Monitor actual progress against planned schedules under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist in preparing look-ahead schedules and activity trackers.
- Maintain project planning and progress-related documentation.
- Assist in identifying delays, pending activities, and project constraints.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Managers, Procurement, QS, and other departments.
- Track manpower, material, and equipment requirements as instructed.
- Update project schedules and trackers regularly.
- Assist in preparing presentations and reports for project review meetings.
- Follow up with concerned teams for timely completion of planned activities.
- Learn and support the team in using project planning and scheduling software.
- Perform other planning-related activities assigned by the reporting manager.
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience are eligible.
- Candidates with internship or academic project experience in construction/project planning will be preferred.
Skills Required
- Basic understanding of construction and project execution.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Basic understanding of project scheduling and planning.
- Knowledge of MS Project or Primavera P6 will be an advantage.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
