Job Description – Production Support Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Production Support Engineer to support Aura’s insurance platforms across Health, Motor/Auto, and Property & Casualty lines of business.

The role requires strong production support, client communication, application troubleshooting, and SQL skills. Prior experience working with insurance applications is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

· Monitor and support Aura’s production applications and services.

· Handle incidents, service requests, and client-reported issues.

· Communicate with clients, understand reported problems, and provide timely updates.

· Perform initial investigation and identify application, data, integration, or configuration-related issues.

· Analyse application logs, API responses, and database records to determine the root cause.

· Execute SQL queries for troubleshooting, validation, and data analysis.

· Resolve basic application and data issues independently.

· Coordinate with development, DevOps, and QA teams for issues requiring code changes or deployments.





· Track incidents through closure and maintain clear support documentation.

· Support post-release validation and production deployment activities.

Required Skills

· Experience supporting web-based production applications.

· Mandatory experience in the insurance domain, preferably Health, Motor/Auto, or P&C.;

· Solid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.

· Ability to troubleshoot APIs, application logs, and database issues.

· Basic understanding of applications developed using Python and Node.js.

· Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and system integrations.

· Strong client communication and incident-management skills.

· Ability to work independently and manage production issues with appropriate urgency.

Preferred Skills

· Experience with cloud-hosted applications, preferably Azure or AWS.
