Job Summary

The Duty Medical Officer will be responsible for providing medical supervision and clinical support to patients receiving rehabilitation services at Breeze Multidisciplinary Rehabilitation Centre.

The DMO will assess patients' medical status, monitor their condition during rehabilitation, manage acute medical issues within the scope of practice, coordinate with rehabilitation professionals, maintain accurate medical records, and ensure appropriate escalation or referral when required.

The role requires close coordination with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, nurses, rehabilitation physicians, consultants, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Patient Assessment
- Conduct initial medical assessment of patients as assigned.
- Review medical history, previous diagnoses, investigations, medications, allergies, and relevant clinical records.
- Assess vital signs and general medical condition.
- Identify medical conditions or risk factors that may affect rehabilitation.




- Determine whether the patient is medically fit to participate in planned rehabilitation activities.
- Identify red-flag symptoms requiring urgent medical attention or specialist referral.

B. Medical Monitoring During Rehabilitation
- Monitor patients' medical condition during their stay at the rehabilitation centre.
- Review patients who develop recent symptoms, deterioration, pain, fever, dizziness, breathing difficulty, abnormal vital signs, or other medical concerns.
- Provide appropriate first-line medical management within professional scope.
- Advise modification, temporary suspension, or escalation of rehabilitation activities when medically indicated.
- Monitor patients with chronic illnesses and other relevant medical conditions.

C. Emergency & First-Line Medical Care
- Attend to medical emergencies occurring within the centre.
- Provide immediate first aid and basic emergency medical man
