Job Description

Ezhomz is hiring its first dedicated HR person. This is a hands-on generalist role with complete ownership of the HR function, reporting directly to the founder. You will build HR processes from the ground up rather than maintain existing ones.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete employee lifecycle — joining, onboarding, confirmation, exits
- Handle end-to-end recruitment for junior, operational and mid-level roles
- Maintain employee records, attendance, leave and HR documentation
- Draft basic HR policies and an employee handbook
- Prepare and validate monthly payroll inputs; coordinate PF, ESI, PT and TDS with our external consultant
- Act as first point of contact for employee grievances and disciplinary matters
- Introduce simple KRAs, probation reviews and periodic performance discussions
- Track attrition and absenteeism; run practical,



low-cost retention and engagement initiatives
- Publish a monthly HR dashboard for management

Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on HR generalist experience, preferably as the sole or senior-most HR person in an SME
- Experience managing a junior / frontline workforce
- Working knowledge of payroll inputs, PF, ESI and basic labour compliance
- Robust recruitment track record for operational and high-turnover roles
- Fluent in Hindi and English; comfortable with Excel and basic reporting
- Able to work independently and create structure where none exists

Preferred
- SME, manufacturing, services or start-up background
- Exposure to a 50–300 employee base
- Experience with HRMS or payroll software
