Job Role : Technology Exploration and Product engineers

Position Summary: GITAM University, Bengaluru campus is seeking talented and motivated engineers to join as

Engineers for the Technical Exploration and Product Engineering (TEPE) course under the Department of Mechanical

Engineering. The successful candidates will assist in delivering foundational engineering concepts, conducting

hands-on product development projects, and providing technical support to students.

Responsibilities:

● Develop and deliver engaging lectures, labs, and workshops on TEPE product design principles.

● Provide hands-on technical guidance and support in programming, engineering design, power tools, and

electronics.

● Collaborate with students on problem identification, needs assessment, and project management for

product/prototype development.

● Demonstrate safe operational practices in potentially hazardous environments, including the use of power

tools.

● Offer instruction and support on microprocessors, microcontrollers, electronics, and electromagnetism

principles.





● Provide demonstrations and guidance in carpentry, tin smithy, fitting, welding, and injection molding

techniques.

● Co-facilitate team projects and mentor students in project management and planning skills.

Qualifications:

● Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or Electronics & Communication Engineering.

Desired Skill Set
:

● strong engineering foundation (manufacturing, IoT, development, safety). ● Proficient in programming (C/C++, Python).

● Experienced with embedded systems (Arduino, Node MCU, Raspberry Pi). ● Hands-on with power tools, electronics, sensors, electromechanical systems. ● Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.

● Thrives in collaborative learning environments.

● Experience in project management, problem-solving, and working in multidisciplinary teams.
