The person should have a solid fashion sense, colour sense and eye for detail, while also understanding that visual merchandising is not just about making the showroom beautiful — it must help sell merchandise.
Visual Merchandiser – Key Responsibilities
- Plan and maintain premium showroom displays for sarees, lehengas and Indo-Western wear.
- Create window displays, mannequin styling and seasonal/festive themes.
- Coordinate colours, fabrics, styling and product placement to create attractive collections.
- Ensure new arrivals, bestsellers and priority products receive prominent visibility.
- Refresh displays regularly to maintain a fresh and premium look.
- Work with the sales team to identify slow-moving products and improve their presentation.
- Coordinate with the social-media team for product styling, shoots and visual content.
- Maintain showroom presentation standards and ensure displays are executed on time.
- Observe competitor/fashion trends and bring new display and styling ideas.
- Focus on visual appeal as well as sales impact.
