Job Summary
A Road Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, constructing, and maintaining roads, highways, bridges, and transportation infrastructure. The role involves ensuring projects meet safety standards, quality requirements, environmental regulations, and are completed within budget and schedule.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop road and highway infrastructure according to engineering standards.
- Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and soil investigations.
- Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Supervise road construction and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, government authorities, and stakeholders.
- Inspect construction materials and completed work to ensure quality.
- Identify and resolve technical issues during construction.
- Prepare project reports, documentation, and technical presentations.

Required Skills




- Knowledge of highway and pavement engineering.
- Road geometric design and traffic engineering.
- AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software.
- Project planning and scheduling.
- Surveying techniques.
- Quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC).
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Knowledge of construction materials and methods.
- Familiarity with IRC, MORTH, ASTM, or local engineering standards.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Skilled engineering license (preferred in some regions).
- Experience in road construction, highway projects, or infrastructure development.
