Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and hardworking Commi 1 – Vegetarian Maharashtrian Cuisine for our kitchen team in Kalyan. The candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing vegetarian Maharashtrian dishes, daily mise-en-place, basic masala preparation, cutting, chopping, portioning, and supporting smooth kitchen operations.

The ideal candidate should be clean, disciplined, quick during service, and able to maintain consistency in taste, hygiene, portioning, and food preparation as per kitchen standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare vegetarian Maharashtrian dishes under the guidance of the CDP / Head Chef.
- Handle dishes such as misal, usal, poha, sabudana khichdi, batata bhaji, varan bhaat, amti, pithla, zunka, kothimbir vadi, thali items, snacks, and breakfast items.
- Manage daily mise-en-place including cutting, chopping, grinding, masala preparation, portioning, and basic cooking.




- Support bulk preparation, live service, and rush-hour kitchen operations.
- Maintain consistency in taste, portion size, quality, and presentation.
- Follow standard recipes, preparation methods, and instructions from senior chefs.
- Maintain proper hygiene, cleanliness, grooming, and food safety standards at all times.
- Follow FIFO, proper storage, labelling, and wastage control practices.
- Keep workstation, equipment, utensils, storage areas, refrigerators, and cooking section clean and organized.
- Inform seniors about low stock, spoilage, wastage, breakage, or equipment issues.
- Support the kitchen team during opening, closing, cleaning, and preparation duties.

Candidate Requirements:
- Prior experience as Commi 1, Commi 2, Cook, or Kitchen Assistant in a vegetarian Maharashtrian kitchen preferred.
- Practical knowledge of Maharashtrian vegetarian cuisine is required.
