About the role

We're looking for a hands-on Design Director to lead the next chapter of product design at o9 Solutions.

This isn't a role for someone who wants to spend their days in meetings or manage design from a distance. We're looking for a design leader with strong product and design craft who can set the vision, raise the quality bar, and guide the team toward creating simpler, more intuitive experiences for complex enterprise products.

You'll lead an established team of 8–9 product designers while staying closely involved in product strategy, design direction, interaction design, visual design, and design quality.

Our platform helps global businesses solve complex planning and decision-making problems. Your challenge will be to make those experiences significantly simpler, more intuitive, and more user-centric - while helping define how traditional product workflows and emerging agentic experiences come together.

What you'll own

You'll be responsible for shaping the product design vision and raising the overall quality of design across the platform.

Some of the things you'll work on include:
- Define and communicate the long-term vision for product design across the platform.
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering to solve complex customer problems and translate business needs into intuitive product experiences.
- Own the design function, set a high bar for design quality, and lead the redesign of key product experiences, making complex workflows simpler, clearer, and easier to use.
- Establish a solid user-centric approach to designing complex enterprise workflows.
- Help define how traditional product workflows and emerging agentic and conversational experiences come together in the product.
