Role & responsibilities:

Planning and Procurement
- Estimate material needs from project blueprints and schedules.
- Find and choose reliable vendors.
- Negotiate prices, delivery dates, and contracts.
- Create purchase orders and track orders.

Site Logistics and Storage
- Plan safe storage and yard layouts on the worksite.
- Supervise unloading and receiving of goods.
- Check deliveries for damage, overages, or shortages.
- Protect sensitive items from weather or theft.

Inventory and Cost Control
- Monitor stock levels to prevent delays or excess inventory.
- Track daily material usage to stop waste and theft.
- Run regular inventory counts and audits.

Preferred candidate profile
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of building materials, quality standards, and construction methods.
- Negotiation:



Solid communication skills to secure good prices and reliable delivery terms from suppliers.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple shipments, schedules, and inventory records at the same time.
- Problem-Solving: Quick thinking to fix sudden supply chain delays or damaged shipments.
- Software Proficiency: Skill in using inventory management tools and construction software like ERP systems.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, civil engineering, or business administration.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in construction logistics, procurement, or inventory control.
