Position Summary

The EPLAN Database & Template Engineer is responsible for developing, standardizing, testing, and maintaining EPLAN libraries, master databases, project templates, macros, forms, reports, and engineering configurations. Working closely with EPLAN Experts and Tool Owners, the role ensures the delivery of scalable, reusable, and standards-compliant engineering content that supports global electrical engineering projects, improves engineering efficiency,



and maintains high data quality across integrated engineering and PLM environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain EPLAN project templates, basic projects, macros, forms, reports, plot frames, and reusable engineering content.
- Create intelligent EPLAN schematics and device macros using placeholder objects, value sets, variants, function templates, and advanced EPLAN functionalities.
- Manage and maintain EPLAN Parts Database, master data, technical properties, variants, and hardware libraries.
- Apply and translate international standards (IEC 81346, IEC 61082, IEC 61355, IEC 60617) into EPLAN configurations, templates, and engineering rules.
- Ensure engineering documentation consistency, data accuracy, quality control, and release management of templates and libraries.
- Support integration and alignment of EPLAN data with Teamcenter, COMOS, PLM Launcher, and related engineering systems.
