Role & responsibilities

i. Ensure required Power (MW) generation and run plants with minimum forced outage

ii. Manage generation & consumption demand

iii. Reduce per unit generation cost and optimize fuel

iv. Ensure major maintenance & shutdowns are properly executed

v. Overall accountable for safe operations

vi. Build a team of leadership pipeline for power plant smooth operations

vii. Present consolidated power generation report to COO/Director

viii. Lead major Capex/ modernization project

a. Thermal power generation

b. Boiler & turbine operations

c. Generator & electrical systems

d. Detailed maintenance planning

e. Coal/ fuel handling system

f. Safety & setting compliance

Preferred candidate profile

BE/ B.Tech Electrical/ Mechanical/ Energy operations

MBA in operations/ business management

Experience: 20-25 years of experience in power generation/captive power/ thermal power/ integrated steel & power operations.
