Manager/AM - Fund Accounting - Asset Valuation

We are seeking an experienced Manager/AM to lead our Fund Accounting and Asset Valuation team in Bangalore. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the valuation of private equity funds, ensuring accurate NAV calculations, and validating net asset values across multiple investment operations. This role requires a deep understanding of fund accounting principles, asset valuation techniques, and the ability to manage complex valuation processes for private equity portfolios. The Manager/AM will collaborate closely with investment teams, audit partners, and external stakeholders to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls.

Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end valuation process for private equity funds, ensuring accurate NAV calculations and timely reporting.
- Validate net asset values (NAV) and asset valuations for all investment operations, maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with investment managers, custodians,



and external auditors to resolve valuation discrepancies and audit findings.
- Develop and maintain valuation policies, procedures, and documentation in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior fund accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Prepare and present valuation reports and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, risk management frameworks, and compliance with local and international accounting standards.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (or related field) with a robust academic record.
- 10 to 18 years of progressive experience in fund accounting, asset valuation, and NAV validation, preferably within private equity or similar asset classes.
