About the Role

We are looking for a
Senior Director of Engineering
to lead a large-scale
Commerce Platform
that powers end-to-end commerce journeys across multiple consumer channels.

This is a high-impact engineering leadership role responsible for a
channel-agnostic commerce platform
serving experiences across
Mobile App, Website, Stores, Call Centers and other commerce channels
.

The ideal leader will combine
robust engineering depth, architecture expertise, consumer product thinking and large-scale people leadership
. This is not just a backend engineering leadership role—the candidate must understand how technology enables the complete customer journey from
discovery to product consideration, cart, checkout and successful order conversion
.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the engineering strategy and execution for the Commerce Platform supporting critical consumer journeys.




- Lead a globally distributed engineering organization of approximately
100–150 engineers
across India, Germany and Greece.
- Define and drive scalable, resilient and highly available
commerce architecture

- Own technical strategy across:
- Product Discovery
- Product Catalog
- Category & Product Listing
- Search / Discovery Experiences
- Cart
- Checkout
- Order Placement
- Conversion Funnel
- Customer Commerce Journeys
- Partner closely with Product, Design, Business and other technology leaders to translate consumer and business problems into scalable technical solutions.
- Drive architecture decisions for
high-scale distributed systems
, platform modernization and engineering excellence.
