The Technical Consultant will provide specialised actuarial and technical support to the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) in relation to Ind AS 117 implementation and associated IRDAI and regulatory matters. The role involves research, drafting, stakeholder coordination and technical documentation on a part-time consultancy basis.
Educational Qualification & Experience
- Educational Qualification: Associate or Fellow of IAI or equivalent recognised actuarial qualification.
- Experience: Strong actuarial knowledge with understanding of Ind AS 117 and insurance regulatory matters.
- Experience: In technical drafting, actuarial analysis, or regulatory assignments preferred.
- No age restriction.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Robust analytical and drafting skills.
- Good understanding of insurance regulation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Job Responsibilities




- Draft consultation papers, discussion notes and submissions.
- Collate and analyse stakeholder feedback.
- Support technical meetings and document deliberations.
- Prepare presentations and communications.
- Monitor regulatory developments.
- Coordinate with Task Force, Joint Expert Group, Council Committees and Secretariat.
- Perform other technical assignments entrusted by the President.
